I’ve worked remotely for US companies for over 11 years, across five separate remote jobs, without ever living in the US or holding US work authorization. I quit a 24-year career at a UK company in 2014 to go remote, and I’ve worked remotely from Thailand, Hong Kong, Sydney, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, and Prague since.
I run the Remote Hive, where I’ve reviewed hundreds of resumes from experienced professionals trying to break into remote work, and I’ve built a coaching business around the patterns I keep seeing in why they get ignored or silenced.
